Our Team
Payson Club Wrestling is a non-profit 501C-3 that was started in 2018 as a way for Payson youth wrestlers to have the ability to wrestle year-round. Currently our classes are focused on folk style wrestling but also transitions to freestyle. Our membership currently is approximately 40 members made of beginners all the way to national placers. We run classes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with the option of private lessons. Currently the club practices out of their personal 1200 sq ft room with a attached 600 sq ft gym. Payson club wrestling strives to give the youth in Payson a healthy avenue to build their physical and mental health.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe place for our local youth to become active and grow the sport of wrestling. To teach those same young people the value of responsibility, leadership, hard work, discipline, overcoming failure, accountability, and teamwork. To rebuild the previous reputation of excellence regarding the way the competition views the Payson wrestling program. And giving the youth wrestlers of this community the same opportunities as kids in the bigger cities whereby they have experience and the exposer to the sport long before they compete for the schools.
